Training for hospitality staff
If you work, or want to work for licensed premises that hold a general, on-premises, packaged liquor or late night licence you must have successfully completed a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course approved by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR).
Prospective employers may require you to have an RSA certificate prior to employing you. You can choose to undertake an RSA course from an accredited RSA training organisation.
Many Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are approved to deliver the VCGLR's face-to-face course in Victoria. For a complete list of RTOs that deliver the VCGLR course, refer to the Responsible Service of Alcohol training page.
Licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, packaged liquor and late night licenses are required to complete the approved RSA online refresher course within three years of completing their last RSA program.
Please note that you will need your original certificate number to log in.
